Picture: the first type kanklės.

The first type kanklės with 5 - 6 strings, of a small boat or coffin types.

Picture: the second type kanklės.

The kanklės of the second type differs mainly from the kanklės of the first type. They are with 9 - 12 strings, flat - bottomed, having the shape of relict fishes.

Picture: the third type kanklės.

The same as the second type, only with the twisted point, are the kanklės of third type.
